1. Overview

Agent Plugins Hub ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent guide that helps people understand Agent Plugins, compare repository rankings, and find original source code and documentation. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you visit AgentPlugin.net (the "Site"), why it is used, and the choices available to you.

The Site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the official Agent Plugins project.

2. Information We Process

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our hosting, security, and analytics systems may process limited technical and usage information, including:

• IP address and approximate location derived from it;
• browser, device type, operating system, and language;
• referring page, requested pages, timestamps, and basic request logs; and
• interactions such as ranking views, ranking-item clicks, installation-documentation clicks, and learning-article views.

We use this information to operate and secure the Site, understand which features are useful, fix errors, and improve its content and rankings. We do not ask visitors to create an account, submit a plugin, or provide payment information as part of the current public Site.

Campaign attribution

If you arrive through a URL containing a utm_source parameter, the Site may store the sanitized source value in a first-party utm_source cookie for up to 30 days. This helps us understand, in aggregate, how visitors find the Site.

Public repository information

The rankings use information from public sources, primarily GitHub. This may include repository names and URLs, descriptions, manifests, component information, star and fork counts, release or update dates, archival status, and the public names or handles associated with a project. We use this information only to identify, verify, and rank relevant public repositories. We do not use private repository data or attempt to enrich public profiles with private information.

3. Analytics and Cookies

The Site may use Plausible Analytics, Google Analytics, or a similar measurement service, depending on the services enabled at the time of your visit.

• Plausible is designed to provide aggregate website statistics without cookies or persistent cross-site identifiers. See Plausible's data policy.
• Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits and interactions. See Google's Analytics privacy information and Google's privacy policy.

We use analytics to measure aggregate traffic and the MVP events described above, not to build advertising profiles. You can restrict cookies in your browser, use content-blocking tools, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics should not prevent you from browsing public content.

4. How We Use Information

We process information for the following purposes:

• to deliver, maintain, and secure the Site;
• to provide ranking, learning, and source-link functionality;
• to measure aggregate usage and improve content and navigation;
• to diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and enforce reasonable rate limits;
• to keep repository records accurate and respond to correction or removal requests; and
• to comply with applicable law and protect the rights and safety of visitors, project maintainers, and the Site.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving an informational website, consent where required for non-essential technologies, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. When Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure, monitor, or analyze the Site. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments or on our instructions, as applicable.

The Site links to third-party websites, especially GitHub and official project documentation. When you follow an external link, the destination receives information normally sent by your browser and handles it under its own privacy policy. GitHub's practices are described in the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, investigate abuse, or protect rights and safety.

6. Retention and Security

The utm_source cookie expires after no more than 30 days. Operational logs and analytics data are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Where we control the setting, identifiable or pseudonymous event-level analytics should not be retained for more than 14 months; aggregate, non-identifying statistics may be kept longer. Information may be retained longer when required for security investigations, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to a public informational site. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction or objection to the processing of personal information, and to appeal or complain to a data-protection authority. Because the Site is designed to collect little information and does not require public user accounts, we may need reasonable details to locate information connected with a request.

You may also ask us to correct or remove a ranking record that inaccurately associates you or your project with the Site. Removal from this Site does not remove the original information from GitHub or another source.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

8. International Processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use or rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

9. Children

The Site is a general technical-information resource and is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Site, its data sources, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised version here and update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site when appropriate.
